Mom-ing

Well, I started back to work! I'm super tired, but it hasn't been as bad as I thought it would be!

That sentence above I wrote 2 weeks ago. I must have gotten distracted. Everything is going pretty well with being a mom except for the sleeping thing. Gosh darnit. I go back and forth between thinking...."he'll do whatever he does" to..."I can control the situation" but regardless. I don't want to think about it anymore today so I'm going to go shopping at the mall, which I haven't done probably since he was born.

Now that venting is over I can commence posting some cute pictures!

We also got the crib up, but so far he's just playing in it, we tried one nap, but it was a disaster and then I read you should do nights first! Which...I'm not ready to try yet haha!




What else can I say about being a mom? Well, it's easy when there's a good dad around. :)  I'm also really good and snuggling him and attempting to buy cute clothes (although I'm currently buying him things too small and then he only wears them for a week!)  Eventually I'll have to cook something again! So stay tuned!

Surprise! What did Talie and Ms. Sequitur find? HA I meant Ms. NON-Sequitur of course.... How exciting, a teeny tiny (or tee-niny as my Grandma B says) little critter. SATURday

In the Park...I think it was the 4th of July. (Think that song by Chicago) Well, it's the 7th today- So how was everyone's 4th? How do you feel about your independence? I was thinking about that-- how come we always say, "Happy 4th!" and not "Happy Independence!" Wouldn't it seriously be an adventure if we were still part of England? Maybe we'd all have British accents and Canada and the US would all be like one big country. Maybe we'd all have health care? And calling my Canadian friends wouldn't be long distance! Yesss! Pets are so much work. Man, I'm babysitting these fish and they are exhausting. I mean, I have to feed them TWICE a day. Come on! Hee Hee. :) I suppose that's why I murdered my fish in college...I mean I didn't murder him/her I just forgot to feed him/her for like a week or so and then he/she died. Do fish REALLY have a gender? Mutinondo

Whoa! What a cool place this Mutinondo  was!  It is is a woodland, wilderness area NORTH EAST of Lusaka about 10 hours by bus. (Sorry about the yelling, that is a little shout out to my friend, you know who you are) (Also,  let me know if the link doesn't work) There were these gorgeous look-out points and mountains....well, large granite hills, but they were steep enough and we climbed up 2 of them. It took about 30 minutes to get to the top of each.  In the top video I'm reaching the top of the mountain!  You can hear our cool driver Mr. K cheering? :) me on!  These photos are in no order exactly, but I'll talk a little about each one!
