What a grand day for teachers!! (Well I guess students too!) But WHOO HOOO a totally awesome surprise day off work! SO toooooo BADDDDD for all you out there who have to be suffering through another day of the daily grind! heee hee Last weekend was a blast! Thursday night was the 3rd Annual White Elephant Party! Good Title. I was again reminded of the importance of waiting for a cake to cool before adding frosting...as shown here: The Guy and I had a hoot in Green Bay 2 weekends ago, especially when the Philosopher made him check his blood pressure on both in arm AND his wrist at the SAME TIME. I love these shots! In the second the Philosopher is pushing the button and laughing...good times. What do you think The Guy is looking at in the first picture? Well, probably that dude to his right. By the way, I think I need to change his name to Mr. Miss or something? Get it? Like to where he is from? So my car smells like sweaty socks because it's full of them. I don't understand how so many of my frisbee socks end up in my back seat (backseat?). Anyway, they are stinking the place up. Other random items in my car include plastic bags. WTF are they doing in there? There must be like 6 plastic bags, some of them have things in them, some don't. I don't really know what to do, should I take them out? Another thing in my car is this big hunk of blue corduroy fabric that I bought at Goodwill with my mom back in July. I don't know why it continues to sit in the back seat, but it should get up and carry itself into the house!! I want to make dark curtains with it because I am a vampire and I don't like light waking me up in the morning. Wait, I forgot there are some other things, like random pieces of garbage. My muffler is falling off now and a belt is squealing like a 30-year old at a New Kids on the Block Concert. I'm not going to their concert by the way.

I meant to write about this during the summer, but...I didn't. SO I'm just going to post it now!! I wanted to so show y'all some shots of me working in the factory! :) Clearly I was strong as an ox as I lifted that pallet (nevermind those are smaller-than-usual) And here I am looking tough as I take apart a pallet. Um, here's something dumb. I bought this re-usable Trader Joe Shopping bag...and I FORGET IT EVERY TIME I GO TO THE STORE!! Sheesh. What's it gonna take to remember to re-use frickin' grocery bags for the love of all that is grocery. Ms. Non-Sequitur

No gnats lately, BUT there was a MONSTER centipede thing in my bathroom last night that kept disappearing on me. I saw it, then I ran for a piece of paper. When I came back it had disappeared but I knew it would come back and decided that the paper didn't have enough power. So when I saw it again, I ran back out for a shoe. Came back...no bug!! So, my heart was racing and I was like opening the medicine cabinet really fast and whipping a towel at the mirror...and then...I saw it on the wall below. I wacked it with my shoe and it died! :) Non-Seq 1-Bugs 0 AND Will someone please tell me how I can shave my legs when they are covered in mountanous, ginormous red mosquito hills, I mean bites. JEEEZ I'm trying to go into a zen place, so that when I feel all the itching, I close my eyes and think about warmth. Well Ms. Non-Seq, HWel and NoBullshitR (I'm going back to her original name) spent yesterday afternoon at the terrace!! Had to go to Hawks first, Terrace doesn't serve beer until 3:00!! Ding dongs. Check out the dude who snuck in our pic! Priceless. My shirt had a hole. HWel insisted on a picture! A bunch of friends joined! Whoooo hoooo!! I know what you're thinking! NICE BANANA! :) AWWW, perfect!!! This must have been after I stopped singing Summertime. (I brought the lyrics and was singing them to whoever would listen...or even for those who did not want to listen! :)

I decided to actually f-ing clean my OVEN. WHAT? I know you're shocked. I guess that's how bad I don't want to do homework. Here is the before picture. If you have a weak stomach, I suggest you avert your eyes: NOW I just tried to take an after picture, with the beautiful yellow cake that I am currently cooking in the oven, but I can't figure out my camera today because I'm....well I don't know what I am, but sometimes my camera just hates me and decides to take videos of everything instead of photographs and it really pisses me off because I don't know how to fix it so I just push all the buttons until I scream and give up! :) See you all at the gamelan performance on Saturday!! xx Non-Seq

Grandma E always made it with angel food cake and strawberries- so in honor of her I made some yesterday. It was brilliant! It was dumb mashing the strawberries though. How does one best do this? I cut them, put them in a bowl, added some sugar and started smashing them with a fork. It was taking SO long (like 30 seconds) so I got sick of it and quit. The strawberries weren't really mashed that much and my wrist was throbbing from the frenzied smashing. Hob told me to get the blender, but I told him to Hob off. Then I thought about his mortar and pestel and was horrified at the thought of cleaning it. In the end, I just smashed a little more with the fork and my strawberry shortcake turned out fine. Done in like 3 minutes. I think I have a bit of...let's call it "hurry issues" I'm always in a hurry, particularly when I cook or wash dishes. A 30 minute meal to me is like a year. Well, It's Feb 2, and I've managed to take all the ornaments off the tree...but the tree is still sitting there. I wonder how long it will take for me to actually bundle it up and bring into storage? Now, a new topic relating to sub par domesticity. I have this silly habit of taking off earrings where ever I damn well please. There are pairs of earrings on top of my desk, near the phone shelf, on my dresser (not in the jewelry boxes) and I found I even sighted a random pair on the end table. NEW YEAR!!! Yipppeeeee Great fun last night. The only things missing were weird hats and noisemakers. Next year I'm bringing a BIG bag of NYC with me (that's New Years Crap) and handing them out to needed to all the hat-less and noisemaker-less people out there.
