This paper (#2) is making me crazy! thank god I only have TWO MORE to DO. When will this madness be OVER? Oh yeah, May 16th!!!!


The good news is that I applied for a job at the cutest little coffee house near my house! I'll let you know if I got the job. They are going to have beer and wine soon too, which means I can booze while I work. Just kidding. And a little patio with tables and food- so I can be a waitress too. Won't that be fun? You can all come down to my shop and I'll take 10 cents off your coffee :)
Although, what if the coffee machine explodes while I'm trying to make a double mocha latte and metal and shards of glass poke me in the eye? No. That would be silly.
This picture was taken in Shanghai when it was FREEZING in our apartment and I was watching tv with that hat on. Anyway, it speaks to my current misery.

Oh MelDoll, it scares me too!! I laughed so hard though after I took it. It was taken with the timer, so I set it all up and then tried to make the most horrible face I could! Thanks for the note though!

gina that is great you will be working at a coffee shop, I will totally come visit you. I am off coffee at the moment, drinking water only and trying to detox since saturday night. I'm still behind on homework also. Damn I can't wait until this next week & a half is over for us.

In the Park...I think it was the 4th of July. (Think that song by Chicago) Well, it's the 7th today- So how was everyone's 4th? How do you feel about your independence? I was thinking about that-- how come we always say, "Happy 4th!" and not "Happy Independence!" Wouldn't it seriously be an adventure if we were still part of England? Maybe we'd all have British accents and Canada and the US would all be like one big country. Maybe we'd all have health care? And calling my Canadian friends wouldn't be long distance! Yesss! Pets are so much work. Man, I'm babysitting these fish and they are exhausting. I mean, I have to feed them TWICE a day. Come on! Mutinondo

Whoa! What a cool place this Mutinondo  was!  It is is a woodland, wilderness area NORTH EAST of Lusaka about 10 hours by bus. (Sorry about the yelling, that is a little shout out to my friend, you know who you are) (Also,  let me know if the link doesn't work) There were these gorgeous look-out points and mountains....well, large granite hills, but they were steep enough and we climbed up 2 of them. It took about 30 minutes to get to the top of each.  In the top video I'm reaching the top of the mountain!  You can hear our cool driver Mr. K cheering? :) me on!  These photos are in no order exactly, but I'll talk a little about each one!
