The CHEF Strikes again

Earlier this evening I may have eaten the most perfect meal ever created. An egg and cheese burrito with garlic salt. I haven't had one since China. It was awesome. Basically I only eat 4 foods as you can probably tell from my writings, okay 5. Tortillas, eggs, cheese, beans, and yogurt. That's about it. And water I guess. And garlic salt :) Fine...6

I haven't done the dishes since the last time, does anyone remember when that was? I'm definately running out out of big plates, but there's a few bowls and small plates left, so I'm good for a few more days.

So I took my 1-2 page paper on Radiohead's "Creep" to the Writing Center this evening. She made my paper 100% better. But since it probably started at like 25%, I'm only up to 50% now. Dear Lord, please don't let my professor think my paper is the crap that it truly is! Nah. I'm sure he'll think it's crap. But crap with potential :) maybe?? I've been thinking about this lately....I mean really...what is the worst that could happen if I flunk out of grad school? I have to go back to teaching....whoa....scary....NOT

On a final note, I've been breakin' the law-breakin' the law quite regularly here with my jay-walking tendancies. I walk through red lights, cut streets at an angle, and often end up standing in the middle of the road during busy traffic times. I guess you can take the girl out of China, but you can't take the China out of the girl :)

Oh Gina... I am SO the same way about crossing streets! And people here look at me like I am crazy too! :)

How can you live on burritos like that? I'd get bored.

Put the damn garbage under the sink. It stinks. Don't be gross.

  I'm BAAAACK. Let's get right into it! To make a dumb story long- to make a long story dumb? A few weeks ago I saw this cookie magazine at Woodmans and I was like I. Want. that. Then I saw it cost $12.99. No.  I also know cookie recipes are onLINE, but boring. There's just something fun about looking at beautiful cookie pictures! Canoeing down the Lower Zambezi

The group, ours and locals going on to the car ferry.  Entrance to the park Dang, what are these birds, I think they are Camden, or Carmen Bug Eaters? or something. Very pretty. The first African elephant I saw! Much Larger than Asian Elephants Who is that lurking in the water??  Some Hippos! Gorgeous stork (I think?) Another elephant. I wonder if he is older, as shown by his color variation? Me reading the book that the new parents (M and R) gave me! Also, notice the 3 beverages. The one in the glass is called a Malawi Shandy and is great. I think it's ginger ale, bitters and...maybe just that. A Rock Shandy is with lemonade instead of ale.   The evening cruise, didn't see nearly as much wildlife, but this guy was yawning.  Zambian Sunset! A baobab tree. Very cool. Mutinondo

Whoa! What a cool place this Mutinondo  was!  It is is a woodland, wilderness area NORTH EAST of Lusaka about 10 hours by bus. (Sorry about the yelling, that is a little shout out to my friend, you know who you are) (Also,  let me know if the link doesn't work) There were these gorgeous look-out points and mountains....well, large granite hills, but they were steep enough and we climbed up 2 of them. It took about 30 minutes to get to the top of each.  In the top video I'm reaching the top of the mountain!  You can hear our cool driver Mr. K cheering? :) me on!  These photos are in no order exactly, but I'll talk a little about each one!
